Four perfumes from the house that has spent the last two years turning haute perfumery on its head, plus a fifth one, surprise! It’s the quickest way to get to know French Cowboy without taking a blind leap on a full bottle: you try the four on your skin, for as many days as you want, and make an informed decision.

This set brings together its four fragrances and a surprise. Each sample is 1.5 ml: enough to wear each perfume for several days in a row and see how it evolves on your skin from morning to night. We put it together only once and in limited quantities: when the units run out, the set is gone.

Pear Pavlova · French Cowboy
Co-created with Allie Goodbun, a Canadian dancer and showgirl from a Paris cabaret. It opens juicy and airy, with pear, pink pepper CO2 and bitter almond; at the heart, Indian jasmine sambac; and underneath, ambrette seed, one of the most expensive and rare natural musks in perfumery, which leaves it with a powdery, creamy, almost skin-like base. Concentrated at 35%. It comes in like a meringue and stays like a musk.

Mezcal Chocolat · French Cowboy
The house’s first, and the one that divides opinion the most. Co-created with Mathis Molinié, chef at Restaurant Philippe in Rouen, who cooks alongside his father while reinventing the family business. It’s all contrast, like a good dish: it opens with lime and salt, a spark of chili and smoky olibanum, and a hit of mezcal and rum; at the center, the star is cocoa absolute, the most expensive cocoa there is, used without restraint, over Virginia cedar and cypriol. It smells of dry, bitter chocolate with smoke behind it, never slipping into candle gourmand. At 32% extrait. For anyone who isn’t afraid to smell like something.

Fig Lemonade · French Cowboy
The one Ashley Santiago signs solo, and the easiest to wear. The idea was to do justice to real lemon, the kind that in perfumery lasts two minutes and disappears. Here it’s paired with an extremely rare Calabrian bergamot, which keeps it sparkling for hours, and cooled with an accord of fig and fig leaf (built with South African buchu, green and juicy) over Virginia cedar. Sparkling lemonade with a green shade. Summer and dolce vita bottled, with no extra sugar.

Vanilla for Breakfast · French Cowboy
Co-created with Mia Fall, beauty creator and doctor in robotics and data, and a confessed vanilla addict. The usual complaint with vanillas is that they take forever to show up; this one starts with vanilla from the first spray. The trick: an exclusive Givaudan sweet almond extract, recycled from almond milk, which opens the door to four different vanillas (tincture, CO2, Madagascar absolute and a twenty-times-concentrated absolute), with benzoin and toasted tonka bean in the base. At 35%. It smells like clothes fresh out of a kitchen where someone was baking sugar cookies.

The fifth 
Here we stop counting. The four above are French Cowboy; this one isn’t, it changes continent and temperature. It’s a tropical extrait that you drink more than you smell: creamy coconut, pineapple, mango and lychee like a smoothie served in full sun, with a warm base of amber woods and musky vanilla that lasts all day. We won’t say which one.
