Escentric Molecules was born as a break from traditional perfumery. Its founder, Geza Schoen, decides to create minimalist perfumes centered on a single aromatic molecule, instead of highly complex, saturated formulas.
The brand emerged in 2006 as an “anti-perfume,” seeking authenticity and radical simplicity.
Its first major breakthrough was with the molecule Iso E Super, which provides a warm, velvety, enveloping, and almost “addictive” sensation.

What is the difference between the Molecule and Escentric lines?
The Molecule line is based on a single, pure aromatic molecule in its most minimalist form, such as Iso E Super in Molecule 01. By contrast, the Escentric line, such as Escentric 01, uses that same molecule as the central axis but surrounds it with other notes to create a more traditional and complex olfactory composition.

Why can’t I sometimes smell Molecule 01 on myself?
This is a common phenomenon with Molecule 01. Iso E Super is a molecule with a high molecular weight that interacts with olfactory receptors intermittently. Even if you stop smelling it because of sensory fatigue, the fragrance continues to project a magnetic, woody trail that others will perceive clearly around you.
