"When I switched to natural cosmetics, I was often disappointed with the textures, fragrances, product design, and sometimes even the not-so-natural compositions. It seemed to me that even if I switched to natural products, I didn't want to give up. to pleasure and the sensory aspects of cosmetics and personal care.
I dreamed of committed brands: vegan, cruelty-free and that would do their part to respect the environment, as Baiobay does by planting trees for each product sold.
I wanted to create a brand that reflected what we love: wholesome ingredients, textures and fragrances we instantly fell in love with, and environmentally friendly packaging."
Elisenda Monté and Iris París, founders of Mamita Botanical
"Mamita Botanical is a project that was born from personal search and the conviction that natural cosmetics is the solution to bring balance between our body and our mind."
Elisenda had an outbreak of rosacea when she was young, and the fact that she could be cured with plants made her decide to train and investigate in the field of natural cosmetics. Iris crossed her path fascinated by Mamita's products and the potential she saw in such a proposal at a time when natural cosmetics were almost non-existent in Spain.
Together they joined forces, and created Mamita Botanical as we know it today, a brand of care and well-being based on products formulated with the highest range of natural active ingredients, which stimulate cell regeneration and help repair tissues offering visible results.

“For about 10 years of my life I never liked my naturally curly hair. I would straighten my curls and use chemicals to make them more “beautiful” to fit a beauty stereotype and boost my self esteem and that never happened.
It took me a while to realize that natural curls are a gift, not something to be ashamed of. And that's where my journey began: a journey to gain confidence, a journey to fall in love with my curls forever.

Jasmi Bonnén, founder of Nuori
Nuori was born in 2015 with a philosophy rooted in skin care and the creation of purest formulations with the highest level of efficacy.
“The idea to create my own skincare line came when I was working at L'Oréal. It was more than 10 years ago, and at that time we were implementing the new EU regulations for the labeling of cosmetics. One of the new requirements was that all cosmetic products have a visible expiration date. But with one exception: if a product has a minimum durability of more than 30 months (that is, 2.5 years or more), it does not need to have an expiration date. Not surprisingly, anything longer than 30 months soon became the industry standard for expiration.
When I realized this fact, I started looking for information on the effect of time on cosmetics. I was surprised to find several studies showing that commonly used active ingredients, such as vitamins, start to lose their beneficial properties within months of mixing due to oxidation. Another disadvantage of the long duration is the use of synthetic preservatives and other additives, necessary to preserve and stabilize the formulas for a longer time.
I was increasingly convinced that a fresh skincare alternative was needed on the market. And a little over six years ago, I finally worked up the courage to leave my comfortable corporate job and take the terrifying leap into entrepreneurship.
