BDK Parfums is an independent perfume house founded in 2016 by David Benedek in the Palais-Royal district of Paris. His passion for fragrances runs in the family: his grandparents, of Romanian and Hungarian origin, opened one of the first luxury perfumeries in Paris in the 1950s. Trained alongside the teams at Givaudan and at the prestigious Cinquième Sens institute in Grasse, David created BDK as an olfactory library where each perfume tells a story. All the fragrances are made entirely in France with top-quality raw materials.
Impadia: the house’s latest creation (2025), signed by Jordi Fernández. A floral-gourmand burst that opens with pear, Bergamot, and mandarin, blooms into an opulent heart of Bulgarian rose, Turkish rose, and African orange blossom, and settles into a creamy, addictive base of akigalawood, vanilla absolute, and sandalwood. Luminous, elegant, and with a magnetic sillage.
Gris Charnel: BDK’s undisputed bestseller and one of the most acclaimed niche fragrances of recent years. Cardamom, fig, and black tea in the opening; iris and bourbon vetiver in the heart; Indian sandalwood and tonka bean in the base. A perfume that captures the urban sensuality of Paris: creamy, spicy, woody, and absolutely addictive.
Rouge Smoking: a night in Pigalle bottled up. Italian Bergamot, cherry accord, and pink berries make way for a heart of black vanilla and heliotrope with touches of orange blossom. The base of tonka bean, cashmeran, white musk, labdanum, and ambroxan leaves a warm, velvety trail with a smoky touch that recalls a sophisticated cherry cola. Finalist in the 2019 FiFi Awards.
Vanille Leather: created by the legendary Dominique Ropion, this fragrance pays tribute to Madagascar vanilla in its boldest form. Violet and pink pepper in the opening give way to a trio of white flowers, Indian tuberose, Egyptian jasmine, and orange blossom, which wrap the vanilla in sensuality. The base of patchouli, oakwood, leather, iris, and benzoin adds smoky depth and an unmistakably sophisticated character.
Pas Ce Soir: one of the house’s first creations, inspired by Parisian nighttime elegance. Ginger, mandarin, and black pepper open with vitality; the heart reveals candied quince, Moroccan jasmine, and orange blossom in a fruity-floral embrace; the base of cashmeran, Singapore patchouli, and amberwood leaves a warm, mysterious, and chic trail.
