Take the title from Percy Bysshe Shelley’s sonnet, which the house reproduces in full alongside the perfume: a traveler tells of two stone legs and a shattered face of a king who believed himself eternal, with only sand all around. The perfume has that sun-warmed stone heat. It opens with elemi, a fresh resin with a hint of lemon, and black pepper that gives it edge. Then labdanum and cashmere wood make it warm, dense, and a little dusty, like an ancient temple at noon. In the end it settles into amber and vanilla, sweet but dry, with a long trail.
